This model, developed in neural network, predicts the Kp index using the upstream solar wind parameters by ACE satellite. For each Kp value at time t (the universal times of 8 Kp values in each day are noted as t=3, 6, 9, …, 18, 21, 24), the model gives 6 predicted values every half an hour at t-3.5, t-3.0, t-2.5, t-2.0, t-1.5, t-1.0. The last one at t-1.0 provides the final prediction.
