| During the last week, solar activity was moderate on 20-22 Jul, and very low on 17 Jul, and low on other time. Six sunspot active regions (AR4489,AR4491-AR4495) were on the visible disk with five M-class flares produced. No solar proton event occurred. The F10.7 index ranged from 105 sfu to 150 sfu. Due to the effect of the recurrent coronal hole high speed stream, the solar wind speed reached a peak value of about 490 km/s and the geomagnetic field was at active levels for 3 hours. Due to the effects of recurrent coronal hole and CMEs on 21, solar wind speed reached a peak of about 710 km/s. The geomagnetic field reached minor storm levels for six hours. It was quiet to unsettled for the rest of time. It was quiet to unsettled for the rest of time. |
