During the past 24 hours, solar activity was low. 7 active sunspot regions were on the visble disk without M-class or above flares produced. Due to the effect of CME from 3 Oct, the solar wind speed maintained at about 410 km/s, and the geomagnetic field reached active level for 3 hours and was quiet to unsettled for the rest of the time. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux at geosynchronous orbit reached minor storm level.

Within the next three days, solar activity is expected to be mainly low with little chance for M-class flares. The geomagnetic field is expected to reach isolated active levels on 8 Oct due to the effect of CME on from 3 Oct and isolated active levels on 10 Oct due to the effect of coronal hole high speed stream. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux at geosynchronous orbit will maintain at minor storm levels on 8-10 Oct.

During the last week, solar activity was high on 28 Sep and moderate on 26-27 Sep and 29 Sep to 2 Oct. Neneteen active sunspot regions (AR4217, AR4224-4241) were on the visible disk with 15 M-class flares produced. No solar proton event occurred. The F10.7 index varied between 164 sfu and 187 sfu. Due to the effects of a recurrent coronal hole high speed stream and geomagnetism during the autumn equinoxe, the solar wind speed reached a peak value of 750 km/s during 29 Sep to 2 Oct, and the geomagnetic field reached major storm levels for 6 hours, moderate storm levels for 15 hours, minor storm levels for 42 hours and active levels for 18 hours. The geomagnetic field was at quiet to unsettled levels for the rest of the time. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux at geosynchronous orbit reached minor storm levels on 2 Oct.

Within the next week, solar activity is expected to be mainly moderate with a chance for M-class and above flares. The geomagnetic field is expected to reach active or minor storm levels 3-7 Oct due to the continuous effects of coronal hole high speed streams and geomagnetism during the autumn equinoxe. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux at geosynchronous orbit is expected to reach minor storm levels on 3-5 Oct.

		The magnetic map of the activity area is generated based on the full day longitudinal magnetic field data of the Huairou Solar Observatory in Beijing.				This full-disk Hα image of sun is observed with the 20cm Full-Disc Hα Telescope located at Huairou Solar Observatory Station of Beijing in China.



		Observatories of cosmic ray in SEPC include Beijing station monitoring Neutron intensity variations and Guangzhou station monitoring the intensity variations of East, West, South, North and Vertical components of muon.				This model is an improved geomagnetic K-index current reporting model based on the evaluation of Takahashi, a commonly used international Kp index current reporting model, and its application to Chinese geomagnetic stations.
